Police were called to the A390 in St Austell at around 8.15am this morning following reports a vehicle had struck a lamppost. 

A driver was reported to be trapped in a car near to McDonald’s. The ambulance and fire services were also called to the scene.

A road closure was put in place. The driver has been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
