PARAMEDICS and a member of the public helped bring a woman back to safety after she was discovered on the wrong side of the railings of an A30 overbridge at Scorrier.
Police were called at 7.25am today, April 3. Ambulance crews also attended and, with the help of a member of the public, brought the woman to safety.
She has since been detained under the Mental Health Act and taken into the care of health professionals.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “Police were called at 7.25am today, April 3, following concern for the welfare of a woman on an A30 overbridge at Scorrier.
“The woman was on the wrong side of the railings. Ambulance attended.
“The woman was brought back to safety by paramedics with the help of a member of the public around 7.50am.
“The A30 was closed in both directions and fully reopened around 7.50am.”
The woman was later detained under the Mental Health Act and taken into the care of health professionals.
